Well we are able to only speculate but it would seem that accounts that promoted email zip submits and get rich fast schemes appeared to get a huge share of the punishment and it is too much of a coincidence the new FTC regulations came into effect round the same time.

The savage thing of this entire thing is the sheer irony of why Google is doing it. I mean I’m cool with an account getting terminated as long as there’s a clear explanation but Google is saying nothing.
